Another amazing book for the Hockey Gods....I always liked Miles in the previous books. There was something sweet and endearing about the way he pined for Willow. But whoooohoooo he is anything but sweet in this book. What is it with these Crown Point boys and their possessive, stalkerish behaviour....something in the water??? Because i'm really thirsty!
I did struggle with Willow a little bit but that was the point I think, her lack of motivation, drive, desire, anything to garner a reaction or ounce of passion from her was obviously non existent. I enjoyed the process of Miles rebuilding her again after the very public breakup humiliation from Knox (ps. I can't wait to read about him). Miles' POV was perfect it allowed you a glimpse into how much he truly did love her. A really crushing part for me and a part that clicked some things into place was during a party when Miles' says "We're the opposite, you and me. You've never been in love. But I fell in love at first sight. And i'm pretty sure it's the forever sort of thing." ...Her expression shutter. "Oh, you're in love with someone? I...." (IYKYK) That part had me in all the feels.
I'm pumped for the next instalment with Jacob, he's always been an enigma to me! Thanks to Sara, you keep writing and i'll keep reading!

I'm so curious about Miles that I read this without reading Steele's book. And f*ck, I love Miles Whiteshaw. While Greyson and Steele's books may have started with hatred towards the FMC, Miles' book does not. His feelings have always been clear to him from the beginning. But things didn't go his way, so he needs to use some unhinged tactics to make Willow fall in love with him. And when I say unhinged, I mean m*rder. I love the whole story of Miles Whiteshaw's secret obsession, but Greyson made me swoon and giggle even more. There were a couple of times when Willow irritated me. I understand that she experienced betrayal or pain because of Knox. I don't understand the 'I can't fall in love because my parents don't show love' thing, and I appreciate Violet pointing it out. Overall, I really like it and enjoyed it.
Twists and turns, suspense and mystery, darkness and obsession, plus a love unlike any other. Secret Obsession is an amazing read.

I’m starting to think this series is purposefully delulu.
Miles is very sweet. You already understand from the previous material that his personality is sweet. Nothing about his personality leads me to believe he’d murder someone. Is he obsessive over Willow? Sure. But murder? Ridiculous. Some of his emotional outbursts were uncalled for as well. A bit dramatic for my taste.
Willow’s “trauma” should have been more developed. The situation with Knox makes sense because it’s traumatic. I would’ve been destroyed if that happened to me. But trying to continue the “I’ll never be in love” shit with her family being less outwardly loving is WEAK. There’s no believability to it.
That being said, as a couple they are my favorite so far. It’s cute that Miles has been in love with her since the first day that he met her. Were his methods of getting her to realize that they were meant to be fucked up in the beginning? HELL YEAH. But honestly this whole series is a little fucked.
