so ML is hockey goalie for a college team, FL is cheerleader for hockey team. Sounds cliche but boy it was not. FL was actually dating ML twin brother and told him she loved him at a party they were at and he immediately stopped and told everyone he was dating her for a bet and embarrasses the shit out of her. He is a total dick, meanwhile the ML is like “it’s gotta happen” and then punches his brother after she leaves. cut to next semester they are about to graduate and she is a low key alcholic that can’t really stop bc she wants to be numb. ML comes back into her life like okay greiving time is up, your with me now. she fights it (there is a freezer scene that i didn’t like and not gonna mention really.) also
he killed a dick that was trying to rape her in her apartment so she would be bound to him for life and so he could manipulate her into fallowing his orders so that was horrible.
but overall he did get her to not be an alcoholic but he was a dick and i don’t think he was obsessed with her. FL is not the best either she took way too much shit from both of the brothers.

this book has been my least favorite out of the three so far. That being said, I am glad that Willow finally got her happy ending and that she was able to move on from the toxic dumpster fire known as Knox Whiteshaw.

Miles and Willow were a very interesting pairing seeing as though she was dating his brother (Knox) at one time. I felt that the other couples had better chemistry than Miles and Willow but I grew to see their relationship as the book went on.

There were however, a few scenes that severely rubbed me the wrong way (iykyk) and that’s why my rating is what it is.

3.5/5 ⭐️

ps: JACOB… IM COMING FOR YOU… literally. No but in all honesty, I am so flipping excited to read Jacob’s book 🤭😏

This missed the mark for me. I didn't feel the chemistry between the two MCs.

Miles ❤️

Sarah’s dark hockey romances are some of my favorites.

Miles has been around and it’s crazy to think how things would’ve been different if he’d just finished his thought on how he felt about Willow instead of letting Knox get in between them.

Willow was slightly annoying at times. Only because her inner voice and insecurities were so relatable. It’s hard looking in the mirror. She spirals after being publicly humiliated by Knox. I honestly wish him no happiness because to take a bet that far and play with someone feelings like that knowing his brother was in love with her. And have what appears to be zero remorse.

The flashbacks really cemented how Miles has been in love with willow from day one. However by the time he makes a move, she’s so in her head that she doesn’t deserve love. Or that people who love her always leave. Miles basically saves her from herself.

I was rooting for Miles from the start because under all the crazy he just wanted to love Willow and for her to love him back. Also piercings, *dead*

All over the place had potential but they wasted it...
