I wanted to love it, but I just couldn’t. It was okay. I was super excited to see Willow and Miles, but it felt flat for me. :( Miles is… very unhinged to say the least. 🤣
Knox is a f****** piece of garbage and I’m so pissed at him for more than one season 🤣
Was it awful? No. But I needed more depth about Willow’s childhood and her parents.
** spoilers - the whole premise of her character and why she is afraid to love and can’t love is because she was never told she was loved or shown how to be properly loved as a kid, but we only got surface level information. It felt like we got more info about her relationship with Knox than anything. Idk

Much better than the first two books in the series in my opinion. This was not about bullying someone immediately to make them fall in love. Instead it was heavy on “you’re mine so deal with it” vibes. A bit dark with non con sexual scenes and alcoholism but overall we are moving up in true dark romance instead of just bullying someone immediately and deciding it doesn’t matter in terms of love.

Secret Obsession is another 3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 rounded up to 4 because of the narration from Teddy Hamilton and Alyssa Avery.
Idk idk idk, everything was going really well for me at first! And honestly overall I did enjoy this read! Buuuuuuuuut, for whatever reason, I found my mind drifting with this one.
I really enjoyed Willows character in the first book, but in this one, not so much. It's not even the excessive drinking, it's just her whole vibe changed. She just seemed so lost, and didn't really find her way back to her inner power imo. Also, what kind of MMC lets his brother make the girl he loves fall in love with him for a bet for a YEAR? 🙃 It just made Miles seem weak tbh. He's meant to be this super possessive and obsessed guy, but came off as not being able to stand up to his older brother and that was kinda lame for me.
Now don't get me wrong, the spice was doing its thing and I did enjoy that aspect of the book, I think maybe I need to split the rest of the series up and take a quick break from them cuz reading these back to back I feel like I'm on never ending carousel.
