I'm not usually one for the "mystical love at first sight" concept, but these two characters managed to reel me in nonetheless. I love the overarching storyline, and the intrigue and setup for the players has me interested in reading more. The romance was fast and hard, but there were misunderstandings and fears (as expected). The book was pretty violent (happens when you deal with demons; especially happens when the main demon is Violence), so if you aren't into graphic blood, I'd pass. The sex was wonderfully graphic but did not overwhelm the rest of the story. Definitely going to move on to the next book.
This was a new auhor for my, and now I want the rest of the series! Really loved the exchanges between Ashlyn & Maddox, and how he treated her. I can't wait to find out more about the other lords and how the Greek gds and Titans play into it.

I was leery going in to this book, because 0.5 was meh for me. I was worried it was going to be like that. Boy was I wrong. I have never been more happy than picking up a book and being wrong.
I did find some of the beginning confusing until it clicked. Pandora’s box, the Lords and how it all works.
This story is about Ashlyn and Maddox but we also get the other Lords as well.
Ashlyn is tormented by voices from the past, and has been for most of her life. She can hear a conversation that has taken place in any spot no matter how long it’s been. Her parents gave her away to the institute at the age of 5 because they couldn’t handle her.
Maddox, was created a warrior he was supposed to guard the gods only he helped release the demons from inside Pandora’s box. And as his punishment he was bonded to a demon. The Demon of Violence.
Ashlyn stumbles upon the fortress, and all the men/warriors in it. What I loved about this book was no matter how scary Maddox was she saw through him to his good. And how no matter how much Violence’s wanted out she tamed him.
What an incredible story of love, hope, fight, and strength. I am so happy I have the chance to move right on to book 2.
*All my Reviews are 100% honest and my own.*

rereading for the fourth time? Finished the book for my third rereading. Now on to Luciens story. Yet again. Love this series
I like this book but the insta love made it a little hard for me to give this book 4 stars.
Of the 3 Lords of the Underworld books, this one is my favorite. I liked the way Ashlyn and Maddox (Violence) interacted together. Ashlyn is a good match for violence because she seemed to come off as innocent and a little naive, which is the total opposite of violence.
Even though they are demons, you can't help but to like them. They don't seem like demons, but more like frat house. The only fault I could find with the story was that even though the are centuries old they could at least try to keep current with world. Paris and Torin are the only ones who seem to know what is going on in this century. You would think if they didn't want to draw attention to themselves they would at least try to blend in. Overall I loved. I look forward to Paris' story.
