Excellent
I had to read this book two times; one in a hurry, desperate to know what happens. The second time leisurely to enjoy and savor because it's that good. When I finished both times, my feelings were of yearning for this couple's HEA and impatience for the sequel. I loved both characters, Matt so charismatic and Charlotte so ladylike, loving, determined to do what's right. As Matt campaigns for presidency, Charlotte is at his side helping, wanting it for him and for her country. Yet Matt is determined to stay single because he doesn't want to sacrifice a wife to the loneliness that a First Wife suffers. Yet, there is love. The development of their love seemed to have started when Matt visited her house so many years ago, with his father who was the President at the time. The attraction took a break but when they meet again with Matt running and he asks her to assist in his campaign, it just had to happen. After all, after his visit 10 years ago, she wrote to him and promised to help if he ever ran for President and he was collecting on the offer. I especially loved the part where he said he was waiting for her to grow up, le sigh, so romantic. This book was sweet and romantic but also passionate and it was perfect!

Some things in this book are worded weirdly, to the point they brought me out of the story. Or they just didn't make sense. For example, the FMC describes meeting the MMC when she was 11. She then says the last time she saw him before the present was about 3 years after that, but she describes herself as an "adult" at that time. But she couldn't have been more than 14.
Later, as the news is discussing her being a member of his campaign, they show a picture of the FMC and MMC hugging at the MMC's father's funeral and speculate if there is a romantic entanglement between them based on the picture. In that picture, she would have been 13-14 to his 26-27.
It's obvious the FMC should have been aged up for this story to work. With the ages as presented in the book, the above two scenes are nonsensical, at BEST. Besides that, the FMC being older would make more sense as far as the connection between the main characters. As is, it's pretty unbelievable, especially with the FMC not acting mature beyond her years.
Unfortunately, this book didn't live up to it's interesting premise. The age gap does not work well in this book, but I pretended it didn't exist to try to enjoy this story. Besides things not making sense at times and being worded weirdly, this story was too repetitive. Over and over again, we are told how hot the MMC is and how much other women want him. It would have been fine to have characters come on to him all the time because at least that is showing, rather than telling, but instead, we get the inner monologue of the FMC telling us constantly how hot he is and how much others want him.
In addition to that, I had no idea why the MMC even had feelings for the FMC. It came out of nowhere and I was highly confused. I got the impression the reader is supposed to think he's just overcome with lust for the FMC at first and it grows into more intense feelings quickly. If this is the case, it all still comes out of nowhere and no real connection is felt between the characters.
I could sense the book was trying to build a sense of forbidden love and high stakes but it failed to do so, in my opinion. I just didn't believe in the connection/love between the FMC and MMC, so their moments didn't resonate with me. I even thought their sex scenes were worded weirdly, weren't hot and did nothing to build their connection.
Overall, due to the issues with the story and the issues I had with the writing style, I would rate this book two stars.

I really wanted to love this one but I just didn't. Maybe if I'd read it pre-covid and pre-2020election I would have loved it. It wasn't bad and I will for sure read more of this author because I love her.
(4.5) sajndjsad that ending!! so rude omfg but if i didn't turn in my ballot already i would be voting for matthew hamilton too
Mr. Hamilton for President!!!!
Get ready for your new favorite couple! Katy Evans brings to life to unique characters is her new book and does not disappoint. She pulls the reader in from the beginning and keeps you interested till the end. Soon you find yourself not only rooting for Matt as the next President but also rooting for Charlotte and Matt finding a way to be together. Mr. President has my vote (and so does Matt Hamilton).
Matt Hamilton has known what life is like in the spot light. Having a father who was President, he knows what a sacrifice it is and is now willing to make those sacrifices too. Charlotte has grown up in a life of politics with a senator as a father. She likes politics but does not want to get too involved with them, until a chance encounter with the Hamiltons when she was 11. Now Matt Hamilton is back to find out if she is willing to help him run for President like she promised all those years ago.
Charlotte and Matt soon finds themselves spending more and more time with each other and learning new things about each other. When things start to heat up, they know it should only be a one time thing, especially with all of the media around them. But when once isn't enough are they both ready to face the challenges ahead, or will duty win out over love?

I just adore Katy Evans. Each book she releases always seems to capture me completely and I'm always left wanting more.
Mr President was everything I was hoping for and so much more. The chemistry between Charlotte and Matt is electrifying, you can feel the zing within each word they speak to each other.
I live in Australia so we have a Prime Minister, but if Matt ever tried to run for Prime Minister here, he'd definitely have my vote.
The ending leaves you with a "give me more, I need to know what's going to happen next" thought and feeling. Cliffhanger alert lol. I can't wait for the next book!
Matt Hamilton for President!!
Pick up your copy and cast your vote! ;-)

Una grata sorpresa: de las mejores prosas en la literatura erĂ³tica. Una historia sencilla pero adictiva, tiene chispa que engancha.
This def had more issues and holes than bk4 (and more smut too) and I could start itching about it all, but I don't feel like it, cos for what it was? A quick, fun, palate clenser, it was great
I had fun, the MCs were great, the chemistry was sizzling, the banter was on point, fmc and her bestie from bk1 were a riot and so was mmcs brother emmett
3.5 stars and realistically this was more of a 3 star read, but I had funnn so imma round up
(I'd be queuing up bk6, but sadly that's not happening yet)
