This is not a great book. There are many cringey things about it, not including the writing. I can't speak to the content of the book before it was translated, but there are many things that make this uncomfortable. It is glaringly obvious that Noah and Nick should not be together. Noah acts like a 18-19y yo and Nick should have been dating someone his own age. They have two very different experiences and are very toxic to each other. IMO, they should not be together. For this reason, I will end the series at the end of this book so there is no hope for redemption for their relationship. I did enjoy the twist at the end with Nick's parents and Noah's mom. It was unexpected to me. Overall, I would not recommend this book.
I was liking this book until the scene with Noah and her therapist.
It’s hard enough to get people to go to therapy. Especially people from a community that don’t approve of therapy. So then you have this situation in the book that only furthers people’s distrust of therapy.
This ruined the book for me.
I was hoping Noah’s therapy experience would decrease the stigma and encourage others with trauma to seek help.
