Okay here’s the thing I did really like this book. And I understand due to the setting of the book that things were just really different then but damn the characters just make choices that make me go “noooo. Whyyyyy?? Please stop”

But overall most of the time I was kicking my feet in the air and giggling. You bet your ass I’m reading the rest that are available on kindle unlimited.

3 stars - This was fun to listen to. I absolutely adore how Daphne challenges Simon and how she isn't afraid to say what needs to be said. The ABC squad of her brothers (Anthony, Benedict, Colin) were kinda annoying but it wasn't too bad. However, that one scene... it drastically dropped my rating. I grew to like Lady Whistledown tho

Disclaimer: I watched the show before reading the book. AND I’M SO GLAD I DID! My god Daphne and Simon were so boring. Nothing they did could get me to connect with them. And their red flags showed even heavier in the book. I don’t see how these two stayed together besides the time period where no one really divorced. The one thing I liked was that they showed Daphne and Collin as closer siblings than the show. I liked that all three of the older brothers were ready to defend Daphne if needed. Also Anthony was more of a understandable ass in the book 😆
