My teachers recommended this book, so I thought I had to read it. I liked the story and the writing style as well. The plotline itself was also nice to read, but sometimes it was a bit boring * to be honest.

DID NOT FINISH: 7%
I was just bored. And I had the ending spoiled for me just by looking information up about the author. But that turned out to be a good thing because it made me realize that I didn’t really want to read that depressing process in its entirety.

Probably this is the best use of climax I have ever encountered: as much as Emma's life spirals downward, the tensions grows and the rhythm speeds up, leaving the reader waiting breathlessly for a conclusion.

Oh! I am so disappointed! Maybe it's my fault, because I was expecting something truly revolutionary, but I got a very selfish, ungrateful and stupid main character who annoyed me so much!! Ugh, I swear, this was such a pain to read because of Madame Bovary. Ugh.
