Appreciated Brammer’s perspective- funny and also heartfelt. A part of me wishes this was a full memoir instead of his collection of short essays/self help responses.

I first heard about JP Brammer through his very funny Twitter account, so I was excited to read his book. Overall I thought it was alright, but his Twitter is better.

Brammer’s world view was so deeply relatable to me that I found myself frustrated with this memoir in a way that really meant I was frustrated with myself.

we need to fund the arts so that people like jpbrammer have enough time to turn the moments of incandescent beauty their memoirs hold into works of art that will outlast them. which is to say there are incredible bits here, but they are just that: bits.

thanks, papi!

A very interesting approach to a memior and is witty, introspective, and well-written.
