This book was a really fun read. I was conflicted from the beginning about the two love leads but the moments where they I interact are just so passionate and tense that you have to throw caution to the wind. I love how edith wharton never let's the reader feel as if they know what is going to happen. The twists in this book are organic and move the plot in natural ways. I also loved the pacing and overall atmosphere she creates.
