This is definitely a hard book to read. Lots of trigger warnings here. With that being said, the book was very well written and found myself wanting to keep going. The characters, albeit disturbing, had so much depth to them. It’s hard to see your main character never have a moment when she is ok. Camille always seems to be on the verge of ending it all. I gave 4 stars because I didn’t see the twist coming at the end and I really liked Gillian’s writing.

Dirty, sickly, sweet. I've been obsessed with the miniseries with Amy Adams ever since it came out and I'm so glad I finally read the book. Gillian Flynn, I will continue to read ANYTHING you write.

Ok, I felt like I knew where this was going pretty quickly into the book, but CLEARLY did not. Regardless, I really enjoyed this dark and twisty read. It felt a little slow at times for me, and it seemed like there were plot points that were picked up and dropped, but Gillian Flynn still had me mouth agape in surprise and disgust. Just what I was looking for.
