Frightening and suspenseful, a perfect read for Halloween. The woman in black is full of spite and exacts revenge on the innocent people of Crythin Grifford. Her actions don't make sense but sometimes people or in this case, ghosts, are just evil and there's no point in trying to find reason in them.
