Not my thing, wasn't interested, entertained, or amused in the slightest.

A cute silly play about mistaken identity, lies, deceit and secret love affair.

Rather a great deal of fun, and even quite unique about it at times, if not perhaps as refreshing in its approach as I'd expected from my earlier encounter with Goldsmith. This is a fine old comedy of manners with a keen intent, when it feels frisky enough, to not be very mannerly at all.

It's been so long since I read this, but I do remember liking it quite a bit. Oh dear, time to reread.

Nice to see men refusing to ask for directions back in the mid 1700s things dont change

A clever little 18th-century play, dedicated to Samuel Johnson. An amusing enough diversion.

Idk I think this is one of those plays that I just need to watch instead of read. I see the potential and I thought it was funny, but it is confusing as hell to read. I was LOST most of the time LMAO
