If you were looking for a light dystopian young adult book, this one's great! Our female main character does occasionally get pretty whiny and some of the dialogue feels childish, but this is a common theme in a lot of YA fiction. What I did like about this was it was an easy story to follow. We have villains. We have good guys. We have a the government versus the resistance deal going on. I liked the generations they showed with the Rusty's and the new generation and it was a It was an interesting story. I liked that there was a love interest. I liked that we had to try and overtake the government. I liked that there was fun tricks and detailed descriptions of the forest which was nice so you could get into the scene/story.

Definitely better than the film and an interesting premise for a dystopian

This was a good book!!! At first I had a hard time getting into it but it got going pretty quick. It is one that is entertaining and also makes you think. We don't all have to be alike and perfect. We are just fine the way we are! Can't wait to read the second book!!!

Was actually disappointed. The blurb makes it sound so much better than what it is.

I love a good dystopian universe where everyone blindly follows society until a strong fmc questions the system & brings about a revolution lol strong Divergent vibes but a pretty good book! The dialogue got a little cheesy/immature but a fast read, interesting storyline & great cliffhanger for the second book in the series.

I loved the idea of the story—It was reminiscent of a classic Twilight Zone episode. However I️ couldn’t get past some of the literary motifs which were clearly meant for a much younger audience. Overall, I️ though it was a nice YA novel with a good theme, but not suitable for adults unlike many other dystopian YA stories like Divergent, etc.
