Notes of Brandon Sanderson and Robert Jordan, but with more of a YA feel.  Maybe some overuse of deus ex machina type plot holes. Nevertheless, a fun read and scratched that fantasy novel itch.  Definitely some good twists in there.

Not as “good” as Will of the Many but I did ignore my obligations to finish it in one day. 

All the characters having similar names was so…unhelpful. 

It’s also giving Dark Tower so thoroughly.
