Very heartfelt and inspiring. Also very factual, which I think is why it took me a while to read. This book also made me realise that I find non-fiction much easier to consume through audiobooks.

It’s a good story and I like the facts and story about how running is so good for you and how she started. It makes me feel less bad about not being a marathon legend yet. However I feel like it’s incredibly stretched and I had a hard time reading through all the monologues. I felt like it was quite repetitive and I hate to admit I skipped a few pages in the end. Other than that I did learn something and got inspired to run again while i started this book! Which is the goal of this book!

Reading this before starting half marathon training has really helped put my love for the run in a good perspective. Helping me understand that pounding the pavement is not just about my physical health and also my mental health. A must read for anyone in the dark place or who loves running!

Really honest and thought provoking read. Bella's own mental issues were quite considerable. Even if yours aren't the same as hers there is a lot to be taken from this book as we all have ups and downs, even if only temporary and finding a constant in your life that sees you through, in her case running, demonstrates that we can help ourselves.
Read in Mental Health Awareness Week.
