Ego and Deja Vu were 5 stars for me. The rest were 3 or 4 stars. Overall, a good collection, and it interested me in Cooke's work, as I really liked his art style.

Ego itself is fantastic. Even though it ended exactly where I thought it would it was nice to see the internal struggle of Bruce brought to life. The other stories range in quality for me but I'm glad I picked this up.

Great comics by Darwyn Cooke about Batman and includes my favorite Catwoman story arc of all time.

There's nothing particularly wrong with the stories but there also wasn't anything particularly spectacular about most of the stories either. They were just standard one-shots about Batman along with the inclusion of a pretty run-of-the-mill heist story centered around Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman). I'm unsure if I'm a fan of Cooke's writing style as it does a lot of telling rather than showing when it comes to character exploration. You know exactly what's going on in the heads of the characters and there isn't much complexity when it comes to both them and the plot. All and all, it was alright.

A fun collection of short Batman stories. Read it because Who was apparently an influence on the upcoming film. Looooove the artwork that Cooke did for all of these.

The ego tail is quite good. Although not very subtle in its dive into Batman's psychology.
