Very gentle, really beautiful illustration. I wish the story had focused on the kid more instead of the adult aunt. This book is quite short, and I'm not sure how appealing those parts are to young readers.

10/10 will read anything Kay O'Neill writes. Their writing is incredible, the messages are full of so much heart, and the illustrations are gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.

Yes see this was great. Love the strong interpretation of women in her books and the lgbt+ relationships. Great way to help kids who may have lost a loved one and also teach about ocean stewardship. Great read, beautiful art.
