I love all of O,Neill’s graphic novels! They are gorgeous, fantastical, and sweet. I highly recommend The Tea Dragon Society.

I am such a fan of Katie O'Neill's work. The images are breathtakingly beautiful. I enjoyed the story thoroughly. It touches on loss and grief and recognizes the complexities of emotions surrounding it. I love the commentary on coral reef destruction and the effects of climate change on the natural world. It is in my top 10 of my favorite graphic novels.
Cute, quick, just as fluffy as Tea Dragon Society. Really liked this one, and the art is so sweet.

Pretty cute book with an important message. While I really loved the colours and art, the story itself was a little bit simplistic. I get the message behind it and the focus on coral reefs was nice, it didn't land as strongly for me as I would hope. Despite that, for children learning about protecting nature and specifically the oceans, this is a really great start.

I cried through much of this which makes me feel like it might be slightly too dark for the almost 4 year old I got it for. But the art and the story are great and she's interested in the sea so I'm still planning to give it to her.
