Great Story

Another great story in this series! I loved all the twists and turns. These characters are funny and charming. Can’t wait to see what’s next!

4.5/5 stars ⭐️

I found this to be a really sweet book, and loved the relationship between Alexis and Noah. I also found Alexis to be 10x more likable than the previous heroines in the series.

I thought their evolution from friends to lovers flowed really well, and could really feel the tension and chemistry between them. I also liked that they were relatively new friends (one year) so it wasn’t like they were pining for each other their whole lives.

Main downside is that I have mixed feelings on the kidney transplant storyline. I know it was important for the author because this happened to her family. But the way it happened in the book seemed a bit outlandish and unrealistic.

Candi, Alexis’ half sister that she never knew she had, shows up out of the blue one day and says their father is dying and needs a kidney transplant. Alexis never knew her father and always felt like her and her now deceased mom were abandoned by him. But Alexis pretty much immediately agrees to the transplant. The whole plot just didn’t sit right, and I don’t know anyone would agree to that as quickly as Alexis did.

I did appreciate the happy ending by the end of the book, and how her father Elliot genuinely wanted to get to know Alexis. Overall, favorite out of the series so far.

cute quick read!! A good way to break up my fantasy binge. had a charming way of confronting toxic masculinity that I appreciated. Nothing I haven't read before tho

I’m so mad at this book. I loved Noah and Alexis and the story line about her awful emotionally manipulative and opportunistic family really ruined the whole thing. Those characters deserved better. It only gets 3 stars because I adored Alexis and Noah so much, otherwise I’d have gone lower.

My last Bethesda library book :( Enjoyed this one, though it kind of annoyed me that we only got one excerpt from the book club book and then it feels like that thread was dropped. Still a good read, though.

I liked this fine. Felt a bit like a soap opera but not in a bad way

This is easily my favorite of the series so far. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard while reading a book and it was just a good ‘ol time.
