Parts of this were way too cheesy and the romance seemed pretty bland. But I also unexpectedly cried a few times so 3.25 overall

I really do love this series, but this one fell a little flatter for me than the first two. Perhaps I didn't connect with the characters quite as much as the first two? I struggled through the first half a bit but it definitely picked up toward the end.

Bromances are real…I mean look at Matt Damon + Ben Affleck…Justin Timberlake + Jimmy Fallon…and hellloooooo Chris Pine + Zachary Quinto.

Whether it’s through their witty banter, humourous mini-debates, or their public affection and vulnerability, we are drawn to the ties that bind male friendships.

Crazy Stupid Bromance is a friends to lovers trope, and it is filled with all the little components we cherish in such a story: the angst, the long gazes, the way they effectively communicate every subtle nuance of emotion without saying a single thing.…(I think you get it.)

Noah Logan and Alexa Carlisle are best friends, and this friendship started right after the events from Book 2 (Undercover Bromance). What starts out as two friends helping each other with their family issues, their friendship slowly blossoms into something special.

The story flows smoothly. Lyssa Kay Adams is able to make the little-details-that-count succinct without distracting the reader to lose focus. She’s able to balance the romance, humour, and seriousness in a fluid manner.

The nerd factor throughout the story is downright sexy: “The look on Noah’s face couldn’t have been more disgusted if she’d told him she’d switched alliances from Finn to Poe.” And that’s just one of Adams’ dorky gems.

The close relationship among the bros is as tangible as the ones they had in the previous two books. This is a feel-good story where men aren’t ashamed to cry in a guy’s arms, get massages with each other, or even know the soundtrack to Moana.

10/5 stars

i always say that friends to lovers isn't my favorite trop and it always becomes my favorite book. alex and noah friendship is so precious and every time bromance book club bois made appearance they made me always giggle. it became my favorite book of series and i am excited to read russian's story next!

Oh man. I mean... can you sort of telegraph the ending? Yes. But is that sort of par for the course with romance novels? Yes. But is this one a bit special and different and smart and spicy? YES!

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this delightful diversion amid the chaos and darkness that has been 2020. Highlights include:
-A cat cafe called TOE BEANS
-Set in Nashville but doesn't rely on place as a "character," I just like the shout out to one of our nation's fellow sister mid-sized cities in fly-over country
-A smokin' love interest who is a computer hacker for good causes
-Fun dialogue with plenty of curses littered throughout, because that's how my friends and I talk
-YOGA.

That is all. I'll be hitting up the rest of the series as a pure escape from the horrors of the world. Five stars. (Although minus 1/3 of a star for a character punching another character when that tension really isn't developed enough to be believable.)
emotional lighthearted fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

I really liked this book and it put me out of my reading slump, so I'm glad I read it. liked this mainly because I love the friends to lovers trope, so I'm always a bit biased when it comes to books that do this trope well. I LOVED Alexis and Noah as friends and then when they became more, it was amazing. I really appreciated the romance in this book.

I also enjoyed the storylines revolving around the main characters' families. I love complicated family dynamics, so I liked that aspect of the book. But I'll admit that one of my small problems with this book is that I want it more romance in it, and I agree with the criticism that some people have for this book, the storylines with their families, especially with Alexis family, overshadows the romance at some points.

My other concern is that the guys that are part of the book club don't feel real at times and some of the things they say feel like there were pulled from a feminism 101 pamphlet. Also, my other big concern is the Russian, he is a caricature, the butt of every joke (I'll be honest and admit that I find a lot of those jokes funny), but so far, he is a very two-dimensional character and I'm, at the same time, apprehensive and looking forward to seeing what Lyssa Kay Adams does with his character in the next book. I already know he is not going to be the typical hero, so I'm curious.

Overall, I really liked the romance in this book and the main characters. But I had issues with the romance not feeling- at some points- like the main focus of the book and with some of the side characters.

I’ve really enjoyed this series so far. Alexis and Noah were not my favorite to read about but it was still an easy, fast-paced, happy ending romance read. I’ve got two more to go!
