Just like any other dystopian book written in the 2010s trying to keep up with the craze. This to me was like a mash up of Matched and Uglies. Not a fan.
My only complaint is that the idea is pretty much exactly the same as Uglies. But I still loved it and can't wait to read the next one.
Me parece una saga hermosa y muy bien hecha y pensada. Sentía la frustración, la felicidad y la desesperación que venían con cada página.
A great dystopian novel. It's a good start to a series. The premise is definitely an interesting one.

This is by far the best dystopian novel I've ever read. Delirium is somewhat of a love story. I liked this look because it was a different take on romance. Lauren Oliver did an amazing job on creating this world. The two main characters have this sort of mystery to their relationship. They give the book more depth. I also enjoyed how Elena began to understand a lot of things as the story progressed. Which includes incite into not only her past but her boyfriend, Alex, as well. In conclusion, this book was outstanding am I would definitely continue the series.
The ending was brilliant! In the middle of the book, the plot got really cliche and it was hard to get through. I liked the bird motif. Lauren Oliver got a lot of symbolic meanings and imagery going on in the book which differs the book from your everyday YA dystopian novel. I might read the second book...
*DNF*
I wanted to finish this. I really did.

The plot sounded exactly like what I was looking for, but when I opened it up, the more I read, the more I disliked it. I felt like things were being rushed, the characters felt a little flat to me, and the relationships just didn't have anything about them that made me care. It sucks because this was such a good idea for a novel, I just feel it was poorly done.
HOWEVER,
I plan to give this a second chance because I find that sometimes books are better when we're at a different place in life. So I will be re-reading it at some point to give it another chance.

OH. MY. GOD. This book was so fucking good i can't even. I loved Lena, Hana and Alex and hated Aunt Carol. The ending was so fucking shocking and I can't think about it without crying. Need the sequel ASAP.
