I honestly do not see what the whole shebang is about this book. It's not badly written, but I had imagined the whole cliffhanger finale by page 30. True, I have read quite a lot of Y-A fiction, but still I'd have liked a bit more originality than here. Honestly, I don't know if I'm going to look for book #2, for sure not in the near future

Mostly chick lit with a dystopian overtone - really annoying on audio the reader is over the top giddy.

I absolutely loved this book! It has my favorite elements: sci-fi, female protagonist, and some romance. The only thing that bothered me was the end. No, not that Alex died, which was horrible, but the fact that how she was found out. At first I thought it was Hana who told on Lena, but I guess it wasn't....? That would be a great plot twist. So I guess we are settling for Lena's suspicious behavior tipped off the regulators?

Well whatever, I loved this book and I am starting to read Pandemonium now!

I gave this book 4 stars because it's good for what it is and it is a fun read. If I was to rate it on an all time is this the best I've read, I would put it at a 5/10. It was entertaining enough and well written enough but a little predictable. I like the concept but it's become very familiar YA romance dystopian fiction I call it. The plot follows a familiar arch. That being said the author is an excellent writer and really drew me into the world.

I was hesitant to read this series because it sounded like it would be full of "teen love", which sounded quite exhausting. Although there was definitely some over-dramatization, the plot throughout the trilogy was great! I'm glad I read them. (But not good enough for me to read the books written to go in between the three main books- Annabel, Hana & Raven)

The actually writing was not bad, I just found the general concept of the world confusing and not sending a good message about what love is. It especially puts an emphasis on the importance of romantic love over everything else which I ironically didn’t love.

Not especially unique, but not a bad book. I really liked the epigraphs for each chapter, it was a cool way to get in extra world building. Mostly a standard YA dystopian, but there were some passages near the end that were pretty striking. Kind of weird that she falls in love with essentially the first boy she ever meets.
