These books are very fun and quite clever. My five year old took out three of them from the library. I hope she gets more next time we visit the library.

I don't know why I missed out on reading this as a kid but I loved it at 29 years old haha it was such a fun, quick, and awesome read and get this I didn't solve the mystery before Nate did and I laughed my butt off because this is written for children and I'm 29 and I didn't get it LOL I'm very interested now in reading more of these books. - Richard

My five year old absolutely loved this book. As soon as we finished it, he wanted to read it again and was so excited to learn that this was just the first in a series.

I remember ordering this book series from the classroom book orders and decided to revisit as an adult. I loved this first installment. It wasn't the smoothest to read digitally but I enjoyed the illustrations and getting to know Nate while he's working on a case. Looking forward to reading another one.

The first in the series. I remember first picking this up because it was the first time I saw my name on the cover of a book. I wanted to know who this other Nathan was.
And to come across the deep dark red drawings of monsters scrawled over a baby brotherβs room brought out an exciting terror and perhaps darkness to the broody way in which Nate wanted to capture for himself as a Sherlock with a twist of noir. But heβs soft, fluffy as his lived food, pancakes. And he has a crush, perhaps, on a girl, but a second reading could also show the queerness in his creative approach to the way he solves mysteries.
