A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle

This reads like stories from when I was 12 and had all the worldbuilding in my head and explained NOTHING to the reader because.. idk why. I guess I thought it was obvious. Well let me tell you, it is not obvious. Things just seem to happen, or they cry bc something is evil, and they hold hands and kiss (but in a platonic way), or suddenly turn into a unicorn (but she used to be a star! ...oh she's crying again) and fly up over the atmosphere.
Maybe I'm not the target demographic and I wouldn't mind it if I was 8-12 but this was not for me. I gave it an honest try though!

Every bit as charming and delightful as the first time. I do finally start to feel that it's a '62 creation, but I think these hints are easily overlooked. There's more religion in there than I had remembered, but I think it's not overdone. One I certainly look forward to sharing with my kids one day.

Getting started on the great L'Engle reading challenge of 2015.

A quick read and sadly nothing about the book (the plot, the characters) was immersive

Re-read of a childhood favorite and it still holds up. My oldest isn't quite ready for this yet, but it will be in the rotation once she is! Fascinating, complex concepts that open up a world of questions for a tween mind.
