A slow burn, cute story along the way. One little spice scene at near the end. I thought it was pretty good!

I know this author writes sloooooooooooooow burn romances but (and it’s a first for me with one of her books) I found myself skipping whole chunks of text to get to the dialogues and at some point I got frustrated with the non-stop skimming.

It has been a long time since I actually LOVE a book whole heartedly

I liked it better than I thought I would. It is a slooooooooooooow burn.

2nd time reading 8/2/23

I really enjoy Zapata's books, and this one is no exception.

But two things did not work for me.

I did not get or enjoy Rhodes nickname Buddy for Aurora. It just felt wrong every time I read it.

Aurora said that all her best songs came when she was sad and thinking of her mother... it felt like a way for her to process her grief. And although she said the words wouldn't come anymore, I felt that when her mothers remains were found there should have been some writing, a way for her to process this renewed grief and closure she was finally getting.

As always, there are lots of other characters i hope will get a book. Yuki and her sister, Clara, Johnny, and maybe Amos and Jackie deserve their own little story.

I really needed this book and it put a grin on my face (thank u ms mariana) - it was genuinely adorable, heartwarming and funny

Never related more than when homegirl thinks a man calling her angel could only mean he got her name wrong

Rhodes is

AHHHHHHHHHHH

04/09/21: I still stand by what I said ^. Once again, Mariana delivers another beautiful piece of work and I just feel like I was either holding my breath or crying the entire time I read this. All Rhodes Lead Here is such a rewarding read. Every page supports the next, everything makes sense. I read this book and just loved so much about it but I think I loved the maturity behind the characters most. Whether it was Aurora and Rhodes or Amos and Jackie... they all were just so communicative and clear in their thoughts and I JUST LOVE A ROMANCE WHERE SHIT ISN'T DRAGGED ON.

This book was hard to read for me because I just felt SO much from it. Rhodes being a single dad in an unconventional family arrangement was one thing, but for ONCE it wasn't toxic? I love a good blended family moment and this did not disappoint me at all. Aurora was sunshine and I wanted her to be happy always. Rhodes was a whole MAN and I loved that for him.

Truly and honestly, Mariana Zapata is my literary best friend and I wish her nothing but success so that I can also enjoy her successful books over and over again.

Please read any of her books. You'll enjoy.

11/18/21: Tobias Rhodes is top tier man okay. Don't try to argue with me. I forgot how wonderful this book is.
