This is a re-read.

I forgot how much I liked Lucas and how much more I liked Paige when you read from her POV. I love her friendship with Elena, as an aside. When you meet her in Stolen, she is too arrogant for how young she is and seems, but you understand her so much better in this instalment.

Armstrong is really strong with her plots - I get hooked so quickly and even though I knew what was gonna happen, I still couldn't stop reading.

I really enjoyed this book! The world that KA created is awesome and I loved Paige, Lucas, and Savannah. I will definitely keep reading but I wish my library had the werewolf books too.

I am obsessed with this series. I love it so much. This installment in the series was just as exciting as the others. Though, I do have to say that I miss the characters from the first two.

I did like Paige, though. I didn't think I would, because I wasn't too crazy about her in Stolen, but I really grew to like her in this. She was going through a lot, with just losing her mother, being leader of her coven, and, of course, raising a thirteen year old witch. Paige did make mistakes, but she just wanted to make everything right.

I also enjoyed Savannah's character. She was a very strong, independent thirteen year old who is learning to control her magic. Her magic was very strong for her age. There were times where she got a little too big for her britches and thought she was doing something for good when there were bad consequences. One things that bothered me about her was how she felt about mortals. She was constantly saying how useless and stupid they are. She did whatever they want to them if it was conveniant to her.

The book had its slow parts. Once it got going, though, it got going. It was very addicting. The romance was a nice touch, too. Although I saw it coming, I felt like it just came out of nowhere. There was no indication that Paige even thought of Lucas like that. I can see why this happened, though. So much was going on that when they finally got a breather, I can see why. It was just a tad random, though.

I recommend this series to any paranormal/romance lover. I think its full of strong female characters. Dime Store Magic was a good edition to the series that introduced a new character.

Paige is a witch, and Coven Leader of the American Coven. That sounds more important than she really is, because the Elders don't really want to give her any power.

Now she has to look after Savannah, daughter of deceased dark witch Eve, with powers no one can predict.

Enter Leah, bad half-demon, a Volo, which means she can levitate things. Levitate in the way that she can chop your head of with a flying plate.

Then there is Nast, leader of the Nast Cabal, a sorcerer business-Mafia, who wants custody over Savannah.

This starts a chain of actions that well, fill the whole book. This book is one long roller coaster ride of fast-paced plot twists. It was very different from Bitten and Stolen indeed, but Paige is a whole different character, so I don't mind. The romance was predictable but kinda cute, Cortez dialogue fit him quite right and Savannah acted like a real thirteen-year-old. Fun read!

entertaining as always

This was the first of Kelley Armstrong's books that I read. I liked it enough to read the rest of the Women of the Underworld series. Good summer beach reads.

Another great novel in this series!

For this one, we are focusing on Paige, about nine months after the events in "Stolen". She is with Savannah and is shocked when she finds herself involved in a custody battle to keep her. This battle sends her world upside down, and Paige has to dig through everything she has been told and decide if they are lies or truths.

I liked the fact that this novel focuses on Paige, and not Elena and Clay. While Elena and Clay will always be my favourite, it is interesting to take a look at what the others are doing in their lives. Paige was an interesting character. She doesn't have that kick butt vibe that Elena does, but she kicks ass all the same. She is stubborn and willing to fight for the people she loves as well!

A great continuation and I can't wait to see what happens next!

I really enjoyed this book, although not quite as much as the first two. The plot was not at all what I expected it to be. I liked the magic system, the interweaving of witchery and sorcery, the secret grimoires. It kept me intrigued. I also liked seeing Paige's relationship with other townspeople and her interactions with the other coven witches.

I do have a couple of complaints. Firstly, Savannah was beyond frustrating. This could be a personal bias though, as I find kids in many books (and movies) to be super annoying and/or brats. Savannah was both.

Secondly, I wish Paige had had more fight in her. She spent most of the book being too scared to fight back. However, she starts to gain more of a backbone toward the end of the book. I hope this continues to build in future installments that involve her.

The strory development was good, but in the end it was all a bit to scrambled. I got the feeling Armstrong was in a hurry to end the book. But it was nice to get to know Paige and I hope to see/ read about her again.

really really enjoyed this book was going to give it five stars but knocked it down because i like a bit more romance in my romance novels lol but over all loved it found it hard to put down
