An immediate 5 stars!! Loved this book so so much. Incredible storytelling best I’ve ever seen, such unique use of the narrator. The story itself is so whimsical and engaging, it’s like an adventurous fairytale. I love Tress, love all the characters really. And it was unexpectedly really funny I was genuinely laughing out loud constantly. Also I’m not one to annotate books normally but there were so many memorable quotes i found myself marking them. The writing and the prose were just *chefs kiss. This is going in the all time favorites category for sure. Amazing read.

Very fun and comical. Reminds me of Douglas Adams writing style. Was listening to the audio book and Michael Kramer was great with all of his voices.

I thought this was pretty mediocre for Sanderson. Some of Hoid's narration was off putting because he went on way more tangents in this than in Yumi and the Nightmare Painter. The pacing was really inconsistent; there were huge chunks of the story that I found really boring. Also this read so much like YA for some reason.
