My favorite classic ever. All I can say is, if you have any interest in history or the Civil War and want to experience as one on the home front, read this book. Read it anyway. I can't imagine anyone who loves reading having not read it.

Truly an epic. I’m surprised at myself for liking a book I thought was “an old lady book and movie.” Along with Harry Potter and East of Eden, this is a book I can see myself rereading.

[b:Gone With the Wind|18405|Gone With The Wind|Margaret Mitchell|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1166913011s/18405.jpg|3358283] is one of the few of my favorite books that I can say is also a favorite movie. Another excellent example of historical fiction, I've always been fascinated with the Civil War and I think this draws a brilliant picture of that time period, and gives a love story that will never be forgotten. A classic must read.
