I forgot to write the review on this when i finished it last night woops. THIS WAS A MAFIA BOOK. I read this because I was craving a good, possessive mafia man, and just generally some meh writing with a fast fun plot. It’s exactly what i got and i really liked it. But obviously the writing was okay-ish and it was pretty basic, so it’s not like WOAH THIS IS MY FAVORITE BOOK, but also if someone asked me for a mafia romance i might recommend this. I could not stop reading or thinking about this book and i have no idea why. Ace/nico is my husband i don’t care, i absolutely loved him, especially once you got to see his cute “baby” pet name vibe. Elena kind of REALLY annoyed me because she was 100% without a doubt “i’m not like other girls, i drink beer, i don’t care about makeup, and i’m different” kind of girl. nonetheless, i really enjoyed this.

OKAY SO GOOD, the best intro into mafia romance, looking back this is one of the best out there
Una relectura justa y necesaria, se me había olvidado algunas cosas de este libro, pero esta autora escribe bien, lastima que este tan funada y nos dejara con la saga incompleta
Nico y Elena eran tal para cual la verdad, los dos complicados e insoportables a veces, a veces de verdad Elena me caía mal por lo incongruente que era, quería una cosa pero hacía otra, siempre andaba en esas que a veces llega a fastidiar, cómo por ej lo que hizo de robarle el dinero a Nico e irse sin decirle nada creando ese problema cuando ya estaba bien con nico, obvio le dió más drama y sazón al libro, pero bueno, para ella pudo hacer las cosas mucho mejor, siempre andaba ofendida porque Nico pensaba lo peor de ella, pero a ella le encantaba hacerle creer lo peor, y a veces él también se pasaba de verga, pero en términos generales, buena pareja, buena química, la tensión se podía sentir, lo noté la primera vez que lo leí y está segunda lo confirme, habían partes donde la tensión sexual era demasiada enorme, puntos a su favor, y tiene buenos personajes secundarios, y había momentos de risa, lo que más me daba risa era que Nico dizque no caeria a los pies de Elena y le basto solo verla unos segundos para que pasara justo eso JAJAJA, en términos generales un buen libro
Nico estaba bien, pero sigo prefiriendo a Christian, para mí es 1-Christian 2- Nico y el otro libro no me gustó, tocó temas demasiado feos y oscuros con los que no me sentí cómoda por cómo los tocaron

Honestly, I did like this book. I kind of fell in love with Nicolas Russo (who wouldn’t?), he’s definitely the character that kept me hooked. The chemistry with Elena is there, and some moments really made me smile and want to keep reading.
But at the same time… I feel like something was missing. The ending felt pretty rushed, like everything got solved too quickly. And overall, even though the story isn’t empty, it’s not exactly the most amazing plot either. It entertained me and gave me some emotions, but nothing too deep. I would’ve loved a bit more conflict or development.
So, in short: I did enjoy it, it was a fun read and I liked it, but it didn’t become a favorite or blow me away. It’s one of those books that are fine, but you close it feeling it could’ve been so much more.
