this series is SO wonderfully crafted. the history of the ancients is woven into the story so well and the descriptions are so beautifully detailed. i adore this world and these characters so much I will not give an ounce of criticism. and THE ENDING

Spoilers Ahead: This book was so good! I am loving the order I read these in. It is so cool filling in the blanks between the series. There’s a Komizar and Queen in Venda in dance of thieves so I was so curious as to how that came to be. Now that she killed the Komizar my money is on Kaden becoming the new one and them having a sort of partnership eventually. We will see! It’s also really cool to see similar themes and traditions emerge such as the Thannis, Vendan wedding traditions, and Rafe and Lia tumbling through the river. The endings of each book in this series is also really good. Aster being killed and Rafe carrying Lia almost dead really got me!! I definitely like this series better than dance of thieves so far!
