While a quick read, this book tried to do too much. This should’ve been a lighthearted beach read, but instead tried to cover some heavier trauma for all characters. The plot lines weren’t fully developed, so it just felt like too much was packed into the story and made everything feel forced. Just didn’t do it for me!
Sweet love story. Love the complicated family dynamics and how the main character overcame so much. Aly was a well developed character with depth. Topics of loss, trauma and mental health.

I normally love this author. My least favorite by far. I almost quit multiple times but pushed on since this was an audible and returns are annoying. I happen to love the narrator too so it’s a surprise that didn’t help more.
