Good for You

It was an alright book. My biggest complaints are that I found it very predictable, which isn't always a bad thing except I hoped that one of my predictions would not have come true.
Spoiler I don't believe we need to forgive people because they are related to us. I would have preferred if Aly found her strength and didn't need to forgive her mom who enabled her abuse as a child. I understand that she herself was abused too, but I still don't forgive her.

I guess I am sad about how cleanly this book was tied up at the end. I like a little mess.

Sadly dull. The history of the characters is sympathetic, but the plot is thin and while most romance stories are predictable, this one is very predictable and feels rote, like the author is going through the motions of writing a romance novel. Perhaps this should have been a different genre.

One minute you’re in your dream job in NYC, you’re with a great guy, and then you blackout. The next thing you know, you’re headed to Michigan (after being put on leave and suddenly single as well) to sort out your brother’s estate - which you’re been avoiding since his death almost a year before. You arrive not sure what is happening in your life to find someone is living there already. What happens next?

Cute read with lots of emotion and big decisions for the main character to make. Lots of family dynamics to sort out. Just like real life!

This isn’t my typical go to read but I did enjoy the ride!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book, but I’m glad I picked it up to read.

Aly was a great lead character. She was dealing with so much throughout the book and it was great to read her story. Wyatt was battling things in his own way; their story together was written so well. The entire plot really captured my attention, and was a quick read despite some heavy topics.

Definitely would recommend this one. It’s a perfect mix of romance and women’s fiction.
