I have read every book. This author has written and I have loved them all. The only thing I don't like is that I didn't get to find out what the main character ended up doing when she decided to leave her job and I wish that would have been something we would have gotten to see in the boo. Maybe her and the main male character would have opened up an orphanage or something like that, who knows. But in any regard, I really did like this book. It was a read that was good. It was real and it was just enjoyable to read
I was not expecting this to be deep hahaha I just wanted a beach book
This was one of the monthly freebies from Prime. It wasn't one that I would normally have picked out for myself, but sounded interesting from the blurb. At first, I found the main character (magazine editor in New York) really horrible and didn't want to spend a whole book with her. Crisis occurs, MC heads to the house that her dead brother left for her in Michigan. Oh, he also left the house to his best friend. Drama ensues.
Holy cow. This book is so sweet. And let me just tell you. The end will have you wanting to cry happy/sad tears.
I enjoyed it well enough but this main character didn’t really endear herself to me. She was not nearly as quirky and funny as the protagonist in the author’s other books I’ve read. To be fair, it’s hard for the reader to laugh much when grief permeates every page.
Powerful and emotional
A touching story about family, sibling relationships and much more. Relatable and tear jerking at the end! Wow, great read
