A sweet and charming little story from Lucy. It holds that Canadian charm found in her Anne series.

Listened to the audiobook and that detracted from the story. The narrator speaks like a robot when reading Kilmeny's parts.
This story is sweet, but his repeated notes about her "childlike" behavior is a little cringy

A charming little story. Very predictable though, but that can be cosy. And well written, of course.
A short and sweet romance. Unfortunately, there isn't any of the wit, charm and freshness you have in other more well known books. The characters are just too tepid and predictable. It will have to sit in the category of Miss Montgomery's lesser works.
Good book, and a quick read. Ending a little to pat, but then, if it hadn't ended happily, would I have liked it as much? I'm not sure...
