This was such a cute and fun book to read..
Carys is adorkable,and a total hot mess,buttt
she has her reasons. Ohhh, and Maverick he's just
everything😍🙌..I really enjoyed reading it. I didn't
even realize until towards the end that some of the
side characters already have their own books, which
I'm glad because I wanted to continue reading.
Jiffy Kate really made New Orleans come to life in my
mind,and now I want to live there..lol
The whole dynamics between the characters is what
did it for me,not just the main ones..

Mess

This was another great novel by Jiffy Kate. I love the scenery of New Orleans. I love seeing the characters from the previous books. Jules was a hoot. Mary and George are very caring and sweet. The attraction between Carys and Mav was wonderful!

4.5 Stars.
Official review coming... just heading to a family outing.

Ahh, I love a good NOLA setting and Blue Bayou did not disappoint. Carys loves that place and you can feel that coming through the pages.

Good ole Maverick doing a little soul searching finds it in the most unlikely place. I loved this couple. They were sweet and fun. My only downfall was how quick Carys was to shut down, I'm not a big fan when people don't let others explain and just jump to conclusions.

Can't wait to read more from this duo!

Blue Bayou is one of those books that fills you with wanderlust. It's impossible to read it and not want to go to New Orleans, where it takes place. Simply put, it's a refreshing and perfect summer read.

Maverick Kensington, the son of a Dallas real estate mogul, takes a last-minute trip to NOLA to escape the demands of his imposing father and to rethink his life. Walking around the French quarter he stumbles onto the Blue Bayou, a quirky and off-the-beaten-path hotel run by Carys Matthews, a 25-years-old "hot mess."

And it's an attraction at first sight. Maverick is simply a good guy who genuinely sets to help Carys. And by doing so he clears his head and finds his own path. Their chemistry and tension are so off the charts, that you will want to read the book in one sitting. And don't think for a minute that this story is predictable! Twists and turns take place when you think you have figured out where the story is going. Plus there are some cameos you will not see coming.

So not only the story and the characters are incredible but this talented writing duo describes the French Quarter in such a way, that it almost feels like you are there. You will probably want to book a trip right away.

Jiffy Kate knocked it out of the swamp. I was very much looking forward to reading this book because A) I've been to New Orleans and B) the synopsis sounded delightful and sexy and C) have you seen the cover? I loved the characters and their opposites-attract connection. I loved that they learned from one another and that there wasn't this alpha-male persona or flighty, clumsy heroine. I loved their balance, and their willingness/eagerness to learn as well as teach. There are some nice, realistic moments and I love that their conflict isn't over-the-top dramatic. The heat is definitely there, and Jiffy Kate knows how to write it splendidly. It's not "too much" or "too graphic", and it's definitely not fade-to-black. Like their characters, Jiffy Kate creates things of beauty when they join forces.

3.75⭐️ predictable but still enjoyable to read. I enjoyed the MCs a lot and wanted more!

This was my first Jiffy Kate book. I received it in a book box that I'm enrolled in. All I can say is I'm glad I started getting this book box subscription otherwise I don't know if I would have run across this book otherwise and I devoured this book! Just having been to New Orleans myself there was a little bit of fun of going back through this book for me. Carys was a hot mess trying to hold together the hotel her family left her. She's a bit scatterbrained and when Maverick walks in her hotel he doesn't help matters. He loves that she's a mess, helps her fix things while he's trying to fix his life too. They have an instant attraction to each other and you can feel their heat coming off the pages. I can't wait to read more by Jiffy Kate, I'm so glad I was introduced to them.

This was my first book from Jiffy Kate and they have won me over. They capture you from the first page. Their writing truly takes you on a trip to New Orleans. It really feels like you are there. Carys and Mav have you completely falling in love with their story. There were moments where you laughed, moments of tears, and even a few moments that had you blushing and looking around to see if anyone could tell what you were reading. This book is absolutely a must read. I want to read ALL their words now. FYI macaroons might be craved while reading this book.

5 stars for Blue Bayou by Jiffy Kate. I am a big fan of Jiffy Kate. These two really know how to write a romance. I would consider this a romance with some comedy thrown in for fun. Maverick and Carys are great characters. Carys is trying to keep her families hotel a float when in comes Maverick. Maverick was trying to get away from his father and everything that goes along with it. He wanders into Carys hotel and starts to help her with her struggling hotel. This is a great story about awesome characters. I laughed at times, and even had some tears. I would recommend reading this book for a light easy read.
