That.... that was probably my favourite. It was super long but I flew through it. The easiest read of my life.
Valkyrie and Skull-Man are so frickin cute. I remember reading a review on one of the other books that "they are soulmates, but not in a romantic way." That is spot on. There were so many times where I just squealed with the amount of cuteness in front of me. When he started singing the lullaby. OMIGOD
I liked how this book gave some humanity to Darquesse, it's really good to see that she is not completely indestructible and one-note (at least not yet). I liked seeing that side of her.

I'm so glad I reread this book because I had remembered so little of it from my first reading 4 years ago. This plot is a pretty complicated one for the series, and it's really dark, but as always still compelling and enjoyable, especially with the funny quips that are key to my love of the Skulduggery Pleasant series. The ending was super dark and foreboding. I have no idea what the next books in the series will bring, but right now nothing is looking good.

Vermutlich habe ich einfach etwas zu hohe Erwartungen an Skulduggery Pleasant Bücher, denn das Buch war eigentlich echt toll. Wie immer war der Humor super, die Figuren sind sowieso toll, es war super spannend und es gab auch jede Menge überraschende Wendungen. Dennoch kann ich dem Buch aber nicht die volle Punktzahl geben, denn irgendetwas hat für mich einfach gefehlt.
Vielleicht wurde für mich einfach etwas zu viel gekämpft und gemordet, vielleicht hätte ich einfach lieber etwas mehr ruhigere weniger actionreiche Szenen z.B. mit Walküres Familie gehabt. Vielleicht war es aber auch, dass das Buch teilweise echt unglaublich frustrierend war, denn so vieles läuft einfach irgendwie schief und alles scheint irgendwie auf ein Desaster hinaus zu laufen.
Dennoch hat mir natürlich auch dieser Teil wieder super viel Spass gemacht und ich bin natürlich schon unglaublich gespannt auf die nächsten beiden Teile, auch wenn ich nach diesem Ende nichts Gutes erahne...

One of my absolute favorite series of all times
its been a few months since i read death bringer so i've forgotten most of what happened so i was a little confused when they brought stuff up (entirely my fault tho) and it was another great skulduggery book and i loved it but the only thing..........CAROL IS DEAD NOW??? AND THE REFLECTION IS PLANNING TO TAKE OVER STEPHANIES LIFE AND KILL HER??? I-IT-BUT i thought it was fixed. i thought the only loose end was nadir but now.....fucking plot twist.
