This was a short but beautiful book with a very important message; you never know how much time you have left with someone you love, so don’t let time pass for nothing.

The Sun will go up and down every day whether you like it or not and for every time that happens you may have a moment less with a loved one. So even if you are fighting with your mom or don’t talk to your sister or had an argument with you boyfriend, it doesn’t matter, if you love them then you will do everything in your power to show that love before it is to late.

Short, sweet and made me cry. This book is sweet for those who have loved and lost.

I read a good review of this somewhere and decided to check it out--it's basically exactly what the title leads you to believe, notes between a single mom and her teenage daughter. Of course it's hard to actually write sympathetic characters when they're writing brief notes to each other, or maybe Kuipers just isn't that great at it. She definitely was going for a tearjerker sort of story but I was pretty meh on it. Also, the writing styles were really unbelievable, especially the teenager's. Anyway, C.

This is another addition to my "weird format" books as this is a novel in post-it note messages.

Very sad throughout, as in- you expect the worst to happen and so you are racing through the pages to finally get it over with.

After some time to think about it, I need to edit my rating from 3* to 2.5*. I don't think that this book is worth purchasing at full price. The post-it note format is fun, but could have been utilised way better and more creatively than it has been in this book. It is sad, and emotional and it talks about an important topic - but this doesn't mean it's good

Overall, I will take a photograph of the cover (my edition is hard-cover and has a very cover design of a milk bottle) but this book is going back into the charity shop bookshelf.

felt slightly shallow at times which was sad but I guess that’s the whole message the author was trying to convey?? idk
I definitely feel like the author could’ve done more with the format of writing and the topic.
But still, it was a nice quick read. maybe too quick tho

Honestly, I was too disapproving of the mother-daughter relationship in this book to enjoy the story. A teenage daughter needs a whole lot more than a daily note on the refrigerator door, especially when the family is going through something traumatic! I just kept wanting to give this fictional mother a copy of Dr. Laura's "In Praise of Stay-at-Home Moms"!
