I really enjoyed the book. The short story style was really good, and I loved the play on fairytales. I think I was a bit desensitized due to watching the show first. So I knew somewhat of what happens. But it was just in a different order and timetable. However I still really enjoyed it.

Zaklínača som vnímal už veľmi dlho, najmä vďaka hrám, no k tomuto skvostu som sa dokopal až teraz. 5*

This was my 4th reread and it's still one of my favourite books ever. This time was on audio and I have to admit, although I know the stories, it was difficult to follow along this time. I guess this is a book I have to read physically. While listening I already was planning my next reread, so yes, still 5 stars from me :)

Great read. Very well written and likable characters, and the world-building is strong without detracting from the plot. Lighter fare than most “high-fantasy” novels, but to be honest, I found it extremely refreshing in that regard.

The Last Wish is a collection of short stories and the first book of the famed Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski. These stories introduce the reader to Geralt and other important, reoccurring characters within the series.

I really enjoyed The Last Wish and gave it a five out of five stars.

The stories do a good job of introducing Geralt as a character by showing us his strengths, weaknesses, and overall moral code for the novels to come. These stories also introduce important reoccurring characters such as Nenneke, Dandelion, and Yennefer.

All but one of the stories have distinct plot lines that don't leave any questions unanswered. The stories themselves felt full with little to no plot holes to speak of.

Overall, I really enjoyed The Last Wish and how it has laid groundwork for the books to come in the series.
