“It's always been you, Otto. You have always been my safe place.
My secret place."

Raven had always loved Otto. Even if he’s her brothers best friend and he helped raise her.
But because of her traumatic childhood, she never let men touch her. Except Otto. His touch is the only one that feels safe. Good even.

"So, you want to know about this, Otto?" She tossed the book toward me. "I read these stories because I want to be swept away. Because I want to imagine this happening to me. And every time, I wish it was you." She kept right on, that chin held high. "I touch myself, wishing it was you. It's you. It's always you."

Otto knows she’s way too good for him. He doesn’t feel like he’s good enough to even be in her aura but also… her brother would absolutely ☠️ him if he touched Raven the way he wants too…

This is a suspenseful, small town romance. What Otto first thought was someone gunning for him.. is actually after Raven and this triggers him into a boiling rage. No one touches the girl he loves.

I do find some of the dialogue a bit cheesy, and it does take me out of the story a little bit. Which was the only issue I had with book number one as well, but overall, I really like this book series! Definitely will be continuing.

UNDER AN ENDLESS MOON by A.L. Jackson
Moonlit Ridge Book #2
Otto and Raven's Story
Tropes:  Brother's Best Friend, Age Gap, Friends to Lovers, M/C
This book drew me in immediately. Characters so real, so damaged, yet they found peace and solice when they were together.
Otto definitely is one of my favourite MMC with his alpha tendencies and his strong protectiveness for Raven. Otto has known Raven since she was young, now all grown up he finds himself totally drawn to her yet he knows he can never truly have her because she's his best friend's little sister!!
Raven had a horrific childhood riddled with abuse and hardship yet she has somehow risen from the ashes and become an incredible woman. Their pasts continue to haunt them throughout the story filling the pages with angst and suspense!
I loved the story, all the characters and their beautiful connection. Soulmates destined for an emotional ride full of love and steam with all the feels.

“𝙔𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙫𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙤𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄’𝙢 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚.”

While reading 𝘍𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘌𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 (book 1 in this series), I instantly fell in love with Raven. She was so bright and cheerful and full of spunk, and when I learned she had a crush on her older brother’s best friend, I just knew I was going to love her story, and oh was I right! 🥰

First of all, getting her back story was so heartbreaking, but also beautiful to see how it shaped who she became. And how that backstory melded with Otto was so sweet; they both had me tearing up.

These two were so gone for each, with so much mutual pining, and I loved the tension between them, even when Otto was fighting so hard against it.

The suspense portion of the story was again so well done, with so many twists and turns most if which I didn’t see coming.

This series has been absolutely amazing so far, and I can’t wait to continue on! (And after all these cameos we keep getting, I’m also looking forward checking out the previous series set in this world, 𝘙𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘏𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴, while we wait for book 3!)

Audiobook notes: Desirée Ketchum and Connor Crais are definitely favorite narrators of mine and were as fantastic as always; great audiobook!

Thank you to A.L. Jackson and @valentine_pr_ for providing me an early copy of this audiobook. All opinions are my own.

I knew that A.L. was going to hit it out of the park with this book. Otto and Raven delivered fantastic chemistry and banter and delicious moments together!

Otto worked so hard to keep his distance from Raven, and I loved every moment of it! I love a man fighting his feelings with every fiber of his being and knowing that it's only a matter of time. Raven was such a treat to read. I love how fierce, confident, and brave she becomes in herself. She knew how to bring Otto to the edge. Their love for each other was gut-wrenching, and seeing them finally fall into each other was like being wrapped in a warm blanket. They were so perfect for each other!

A.L. has such a wonderful way of writing heartfelt romance that makes it hard to breathe while also mixing in suspense that will keep your heart pounding! I'm so obsessed with this series!!

This book is so good! The characters have a connection and chemistry that you cannot believe. You can feel the tension as your read. This the everything I wanted it to be and more!

Otto has been hiding his feeling for Raven for years because she is his best friends little sister and he made a oath to never touch her. However, when she needs somewhere to stay, he doesn’t hesitate to offer up his house. When he starts helping her through her nightmares again, like he did years ago, they can’t deny the attraction any longer. They are drawn to each other, but there are so many outside forces working to tear them apart!

After reading From Here to Eternity I could not wait to read Otto and Raven’s book.
I thought after reading the first book which was outstanding and a five star rating, how Ms. Jackson would make this book equally good. And holy moly she did!
I absolutely just adored Raven and Otto. They both stole a piece of my heart.
The angst and pain just tore at my soul. What they went through was devastating.
But it also reinforced their inner strength and resilience.
The chemistry between them is intense and all consuming. That energy came to life off the pages!
I loved his devotion and dedication to Raven. And her never giving up on wanting Otto just showcased how much she loved him. These two together are perfect, they are each other’s missing piece and soulmates from the minute they met.
The chosen family and the incredible friendships in the book makes the heartbreak less painful.
It’s a bittersweet story. But the happiness and love that’s gained left my heart satisfied and a big smile on my face.
I have to add the brother/sister conversation between River and Raven was absolutely beautiful.
While I was reading it my tears were rolling down. What an incredible bond these two have ❤️

Thank you for the advanced listener copy of Under the Endless Moon by A.L. Jackson! I absolutely loved Otto and Raven.

Amy’s character writing is phenomenal—I fell in love with Raven the moment I met her in From Here to Eternity. And Connor and Desiree brought these characters to life so beautifully with their narration.

The tension between Otto and Raven is magnetic and utterly perfect. They’ve both been through so much, and I couldn’t stop rooting for them. I am an Otto & Raven stan for life

What an amazing addition to a fantastic series! I NEEDED Otto and Raven's story from the moment it was hinted at in From Here to Eternity (side note: you don't need to read From Here to Eternity to read this book, but you should because that book was fantastic, too!) and this book did not disappoint.

Raven and Otto have such a complex history, both individually and together, and I loved that Jackson didn't (and doesn't) shy away from the hard topics. Raven and Otto's connection is undeniable, and their chemistry drips from the pages. I was seriously obsessed with the way the two of them cared for and supported each other.

I also can't forget to talk about the suspense when it comes to an A.L. Jackson romance. The suspense subplot had me guessing until the very last moment. I hadn't expected the twist that happened, and I honestly appreciated how that aspect of the story played out.

The tension from the forbidden vibes was top-notch, the spice was spicing, and the love was unparalleled. Seriously, this is a book I would easily recommend to practically anyone. The only thing I'll say is to be sure to check trigger warnings if you need them. Again, Jackson doesn't shy away from the hard topics, though she always handles them with the utmost care.
