A fun read for me.

Gage and Kiera have headed to the Highlands to attend Charlotte's wedding to Rye. Kiera discovers many of the paintings are forgeries. People die and lives are threatened. And I had it figured out. But still enjoyed it.

p. 1 "We know what we are, but know not what we may be." --William Shakespeare

p.32 "After all, when in came to art, I'd come to realize that the first instinctual impression was almost always the right one. Certain artists and paintings made you feel certain things. They resonated inside you like the pure sweet ring of a bell or the deep peal of a gong, like the precision of a major chord or the aching tension of a minor seventh, like the lyrical cascade of a mountain spring or the grumble of thunder. Whatever tone that painting had been attempting to strike, it had succeeded in stirring only discord, and not even an intentional dissonance at that."

This was really good up until the last couple of chapters when I started to wonder why Keira was being so dense. The murderer became more and more obvious but she just completely ignored all the signals despite earlier in the book noting that she shouldn’t overlook this person. Argh.
