The Snyder run ends with a volume collecting a few one shots and odds and ends. Different writers and artists collaborate on stories of different tones and as always in these recollections, it makes for an uneven collection with which to bring the series to a close.
So basically I paid $22 for the final issue of Batman and 4 standalone stories that range from "just ok" to "terrible"? Pretty disappointing, however the actual finale was decent so at least there's that. Also the art makes up for some of the lack of substance, but overall, they should have just included this epilogue in the previous volume.

I'm just not into the clone stuff. I know it's kinda sorta how Terry and Matt come to be but its just not for me

What can I say about this series that hasn't been said before?
So I will say that Scott Snyder became one of my favorite writers, period. I learned an appreciation for good art and subtle nuances, to respect careful craftmanship of the artist and how to differentiate good art from bad (from Capullo).
I know I learned how to be a better writer, how to choose personal fears and turn them into strengths of exploration. I know I'll miss Snyder on the Batman title, even as he ventures into All-Star Batman so he's not too far away. It was a title I wasn't even considering picking up at the beginning of New 52, back when I was a wee comics babe floundering around looking for comics guidance. The team here turned it into a classic for the ages.
