Not my favourite in the series but a solid romantasy, that’s quick and fun.

I was a bit worried with the premise being a wolf’s king bride while the title clearly states we’re going to be with the wolf knight, making it a very hard line to walk. I haven’t seen many books involving witches and wolves mixing so I did find it rather interesting. The spirits world was also really different from most witches’ books and I loved finding out about new spirits and their powers.

I liked Evander but Faelyn was a bit too ‘humble’ for my taste. She lacked a bit of spunk in some moments and doubted herself a bit too much for someone with a saviour complex. I wish they had more dialogue and interactions on page to really build the relationship to the reader but I’m nitpicking.

It’s not perfect and feels a bit insta lovey but there’s a good reason for it so I didn’t mind it too much. The explanation could have been sprinkled throughout the book a bit better rather than getting a whole monologue about it. I wish we had more about the powers and spirits as it seems the focus was a lot on Lynkins but we ended up not resolving much of their problems which made the story feel smaller and less revolutionary than it could have been. I also wished this last book in the series wrapped up a bit better the overall world of Midscape, making me wonder if this series has really ended or if the author is leaving potential for a sequel…

Overall, if you liked the rest of the series, definitely pick up this one. It’s full of magic, wolves, witches and spirits. It’s light and full of hope.

This book is so interesting to me because I just loooove how earnest and lovely the main characters are. Like when he told her that he wanted to hold her because he craved that level of intimacy with her, my heart grew 4 sizes. I think I'm just very sex averse right now when it comes to books, and I wasn't expecting an entry in this series to be so sexual urge-oriented.

Also I want to rank the books in this series hehe.

1. A Dance with the Fae Prince
2. A Duet with the Siren Duke
3. A Duel with the Vampire Lord
4. A Dawn with the Wolf Knight
5. A Deal with the Elf King

Almost as good as the fae book. A million times better than the turn book. Chemistry was great. The conclusion didn't wrap up 100% in a perfect pretty bow, but that's life sometimes. Strongly recommend rereading the final chapter of the siren book, then all the bonus chapters to get a full view of what happened next.
Waiting on the council of kings bonus chapters....?

I had fun with this read. A little predictable at times, but still a fun adventure and a nice little popcorn read. I like that we got a little more lore with the spirits past the shade. I would also recommend reading the Siren and Vampire novels before this one. The spice was just fine. I won't lie I was hoping for a little more from this novel, it felt like there was something just missing. However, this could be me comparing it to the vampire novel which is my favorite of the Married to magic series.
Still a fun read and I hope the little hint of Dragons might be our clue for the next novel?
