A beautifully written Red Riding Hood reimagining where she unwittingly falls in love with the big bad wolf.
Faelyn isn't a warrior... she's a crafty little witch with the biggest heart. She goes into the woods and finds another girl, Aurora, on the run. Together, they flee and make plans to return Aurora to her rightful place in the night sky. She is the spirit of the moon, trapped in a mortal body, and the lycan have trapped for millenia. Enter Evander đș A knight to the wolf king and possibly the only one on their side. We finally get to experience the Lycan fields of Midscape. The friendship between Faelyn and Aurora was my favorite! And the spice đ„đ€ It's bittersweet that this is the end of the Married to Magic series (for now đ). I'm looking forward to what Elise has up her sleeve for us next!

Elise Kova just doesnât miss. If this is really her last Married to Magic book, sheâs going out with a bang. I loved it of course!
Thereâs lots of magic woven into this story with spirits and their bonds, and I really loved Faelynâs bonds with the spirits, both large and small. Her friendship and dedication to Aurora was really beautiful.
And ahhhhh Evander! I loved him from the moment we met him and I loved the evolution of his and Faelynâs relationship. Plus, we definitely got high heat and steam!! I was not expecting the reveal we got; I initially wasnât sure how I felt about it, but I ended up loving it.
This has plenty of action, high stakes, and danger mixed with lovely quiet moments and spicy interludes. I also loved seeing Victoria and Kehvan at the end!
Iâll miss this world terribly, but that just means Iâll have to reread all these gems! Highly recommended!
Many thanks to Elise for the preview. All opinions are my own.

Elise Kova is a master story teller. This book proves it. This is the best book out of all the Married to Magic series in my opinion.
Kova weaves a magical tale of second chances, self-discovery, and forbidden romance in a setting with epic world building. This story is about Faelyn, a witch who is tasked with keeping the protective barriers around the forest were the lykin roam. Faelyn encounters the primordial spirit of the moon and is whisked away to Midscape, claimed by the Wolf King as his bride. But then thereâs the kingâs knight, tasked to protect her. His motivations are not what they seem.
This is an interconnected standalone, so the magic system is already established. It is somehow different, yet the same with the other books. The spirits are a wonderful new addition. Folost is a fun secondary character as are all the spirits.
The character building is top tier, as usual. Faelyn is strong and determined, but by no mean perfect. She grows throughout the story. Evander is now my new favorite male main character, so thereâs that. I appreciate how Kova creates characters that are not stagnant.
The story starts off hitting the ground running and does not stop, which is a little different from the other books. This book is paced at a way in which you are dying the read the next chapter. I did not want to put the book down. As someone who has read all the other books, I loved finding all the Easter eggs. It was truly a perfect ending (I think?) to the series.
Thank you Book of Matches Media and Elise Kova for an eARC.

Thank you to the author for the ARC of this book!
âDawn with the Wolf Knightâ is the last instalment in the Married to Magic series, in which each book is inspired by a fairytale reimagined and set in the magical world of Midscape.
This time we have wolves and witches since the fairytale at the base of this books is red riding hood. Every book is a standalone so they can be read in whatever order, and I find that there are no issues with understanding the world building. Midscape is as wonderful as dangerous place and with every book you get to see a different part of it.
This time being with wolfâs pack, we get to hang out in magical forests which was very cool.
Iâm sure youâve all read the blurb so I wonât mention the plot. I will say though that even though I understand why it developed the way it did, I would have liked to see more longing between the two MCs and a bit more time spent with building and narrating how the lynkins work, their history, their traditions etc.
âWhy did you come?â âYou called.â
THIS MADE ME ABSOLUTELY FERAL. Evander is everything! Everything! The utter devotion he shows towards Faelyn, the way heâs literally on his knees for her is devastating.
The spicy scenes were also a few so Iâd say thereâs medium spice. We love to see a liberated woman.
Many of the interactions between characters are motivated by magic and, while is very cool, at times it felt a bit forced or rushed at best.
In the end, everyone won me over but I feel like the timeline is a bit rushed. And it makes sense plot wise but relationship wise? I feel like it needed a bit more time to develop.
Faelyn was a nice FMC. I loved her strength and connection to nature and her magic. The respect and joy she shows towards magic and anything related to that. She had her moments ngl but I didnât find her very annoying tbh.
The ending was also very nice. I feel like everything got tied up nicely and in a way that made sense and was true to every characterâs storyline.

Faelyn is one of the last witches of her kind who rescues a girl in the forest from the wolf king. Faelyn finds out the girl is actually a spirit and theyâve accidentally become bonded together. But Faelyn decides she will do anything to help the spirit gain her freedom. But before they can start on their adventure the spirit is stolen back by knights of the wolf king. Faelyn has not choice but to go after the spirit and try to save her. But Faelyn is taken captive as well and itâs to be married to the wolf king.
Faelyn needs to be protected at all costs. She is so sweet and caring. I really enjoyed this book. It was such a great potential end to this series (in case Elise decides to come back). It is so beautifully written. The type of witches in this book are so unique. The last 100 pages I could not stop reading! I needed to know what was going to happen!! Iâm going to miss this series so much!

I gratefully received an advance reader copy from Ms. Kova, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
5 spiritual stars!!
5 spiritual stars!!
Sometimes it is fate. The lykin have these beliefs, too. That there are old gods who made every spirt and crafted every soul. Sometimes, the souls and spirits were too mighty to be one being, so they were split into two."
A Dawn with the Wolf Knight is everything you could want in a novel. It has tension, both in suspense and romance, revenge, found family/friends, forbidden romance and fated mates. And what an emotional rollercoaster! What more could you ask for?
"Nothing, nothing will break us. Fate has tried, the wolf king has tried, but we continue coming back together despite it all. You are my mate, Faelyn. The other half of my soul. Not even the hands of the old gods can break that."
The world and character building, is as always, fantastic and very attention to detail when it comes to Ms. Kova's writing style. She created the immersive world that is Midscape and just kept building and building. I hate to see it come to an end as I have come to love the Married to Magic series. I can only hope that there is a possibility of a novella of some sort that brings all (Elf King, Fae Prince, Vampire Lord, Siren Duke & Wolf Knight) together in a conclusion.

What a beautiful end to the series, coming off on a high note. The friendship between Aurora and Faelyn was so well written and amazing to see take shape on the page. One of the things I love about this series is the endless ways in which Elise showcases how all options of motherhood for a women is explored without shame and A Dawn with the Wolf Knight is no different.
Also sort of getting to see glimpses of our other Married to Magic couples in the epilogue was the highlight of my evening. Elise if you ever read this, my heart is begging for a larger cross over.
