What an ending to this trilogy. I will say I sat here and tuned everything and everyone out as I devoured this book. We pick right up where Flame leaves off. However, in Ashes we delve deeper into just what Maddie went through the years she was not with Patrick. I will say the emotions that I went through while reading this had my husband shaking his head wondering if his wife had finally lost it. First off you will be angry at the horrific things she endured, second you are heart will break for the exact same reason, and thirdly your heart will soar with how everything plays out. Maddie has got to be one of the strongest heroines I have read in a long time. No matter what life threw at her she never let it tear her down. Patrick is so swoon-worthy, because no matter what happened with her he showed her that his love was undeniable and unwavering.
This author has the talent of writing with such conviction that you can't help but be pulled in from the very beginning. All the questions you have from the other book are answered within the pages of this masterpiece.

What a great ending! 4.5 stars for the last book in Patrick and Madeline's story. More twist and turns were revealed, letting us discover the mysteries along with the characters. We got to watch Maddie heal and work to reclaim what was taken from her. We relive her incredible strength as she took one hit after another, all while raising a little girl and protecting her from that same evil. I'm looking forward to seeing their continued journey in the books of the other Sparrow characters!

*As a long time fan of Aleatha's, I enjoyed the nod to the maleficent housekeeper ;)

The conclusion to this trilogy was soooo good! I loved the journey this group of people, especially Patrick and Madeline, went on. They were such an odd family/friends group and no matter what there for each other. This book includes some human trafficking issues so beware however I think it was written with all the respect it deserved. You must read the first two books to conclude with this one and you won't regret it. They are all incredible and I hope we get more from this group!

I was on the edge of my seat throughout this whole book. While it seemed to kind of solve the issues and keep our main characters safe and sound right away, there was a lot more information to be found, and a lot of loose ends to tie up in order that they could go on and live closer to normal lives. As usual, this author leaves us a trail of breadcrumbs all the way through, never giving us all the information, just bit by bit in a way that keeps you turning pages as fast as you can, devouring the story in a hurry. I would have read this in just one day, except I just needed something a little lighter before bed that night. As good as these stories are, they are definitely dark, and go to some very dark places with our characters’ pasts. They are things that make you feel, and make you root for the characters, even if they must make choices that would otherwise be reprehensible.

This was such a great ending to a great trilogy. Everything is wrapped up for our two main characters, in ways that aren’t necessarily ones that you expect, but in ways that are perfect in the end. Lots of the bad guys get their due, and then there are others that you still feel for in the end, even though you know they got what they deserved as well. There are some characters you kind of had sympathy for before, even as they were bad guys, but you soon learn they deserved their status and you owe them no sympathy whatsoever. Aleatha Romig is a master of a dark and twisty story, with love and passion in all the right places.

Ashes is the conclusion to Patrick and Maddie’s story and the Web of Desires trilogy. This story had me on the edge of my seat and was everything I could have hoped for when it came to Patrick and Maddie.

Patrick spent 17 years thinking his wife was dead, until she popped up randomly and back in his life. Now he is doing everything in his power to protect Maddie and Ruby and to keep them in his life forever. Maddie is strong. She has been through so much in the past 17 years, things she has to tell Patrick about, things that could change how everyone views her.

I love the entire Sparrow’s crew and the way the accepted Maddie and Ruby into their folds was great. The woman are all supportive of one another, they have seen and experienced things that most haven’t in their lives. Plus, they keep those men in line. I love the Sparrow Men, their friendship, the family they have formed. This group is fantastic and I never want to say goodbye to them.

Secrets are revealed. People are brought to justice. Patrick has his Maddie Girl again and no one will prevent him from keeping his family in his life forever and safe. Their story was stunning, emotional and suspenseful. It was everything I love about Aleatha’s books!

Ashes is a MUST READ, along with the rest of the trilogy.

Ashes, the conclusion to Patrick and Madeline's story and oh what an ending it was! I loved every moment, and I was speechless by the amount of action included. Throughout the Web of Desire trilogy, Aleatha Romig built up this tension that exploded within this conclusion. If you haven't met the Sparrow Crew, do so TODAY!!! You will not be disappointed. All three trilogies released have adventures, sexiness, strong male and female characters, unique storylines, and will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout each of the story arcs.

Time to uncover the full story in this the concluding book of three. This series has had me gripped from start to finish. I fell in love with Patrick and his Maddie girl, the homeless raga muffins who became best friends. A team of two who are betrayed by people they trusted.

Madeleine Tate aka Miller aka Kelly is a stunning woman. Beautiful and fierce on the outside and even more so on the inside. Awesome poker player. A protector and a survivor.

Her truths are revealed. They pack a mighty big punch.

You don’t have to have read the books about the other characters in the series but it helps to understand how their pieces fit together. A family tree would be good but would contain spoilers!

Sterling Sparrow still scares the living daylights out of me. Patrick Kelly is the soft, sensitive one. Mason Pierce is the hard as nails tough guy. Now the wait for Reid the final Sparrow.

Ashes was the perfect ending to Patrick, Maddie and Ruby’s story.
