If any book screams 2006 fantasy it's this one.

This book is short, but has such a fantastical plot line that I can't help loving. I've re-read this book probably four times since I got it. Very interesting read, and well worth the time.

Uhm.
Good idea, decent writing, I read it in two days and that's nice, once in a while.
But, I don't know. It kinda felt too open; every move, every reason of anything the main characters did was explained, the moral was all to obvious and the parallels to the real world too direct.
If you want to write about superpretty girls taking drugs to get more beautiful, and how a wrong idea of love can damage people, than do that; don't invent a fantastic realm if you're not gonna give its own sense of reality.

It was a good book. I'm glad it had a happy ending. I wonder what she's going to do with the beauty guy. I wonder if she's just going to leave him alone to spend his days trying to make beauty potions or whatever.

YA retelling of Snow White with not quite enough Lucrezia Borgia thrown in the mix. Started off interesting, but seemed rushed and wrapped up disappointingly quickly. Would have loved to see Pell working towards becoming head of Ana's royal guards instead of just being told so in the epilogue.

The story line was really predictable however i loved how the magic mirror had become the beauty consultant as it was an original twist on the original idea. I was glad there was no handsome male that Ana fell in love with as i think that the story line would be to predictable just like the other chicklit books, i also think that Ana was made more powerful and independent by this.

This was an ok retelling of the evil queen of snow white. But I didn't love and was hoping for a WOW factor but I didn't get it.
