Action Packed Adventure!!
I definitely needed this book! I can’t wait to read the next one!! Here’s a quick re-cap and my full two cents.
Quick Re-cap:
When Mera was a child, her father challenged the alpha and failed. He was killed for his failure. Mera grew up as the pack outcast and everyone hated her. During her first shift, she discovered she was the alpha heir’s true mate. He rejected her, which caused her to lose control and the adventure really began!
My two cents:
I don’t condemn bullying or abuse. Both of which do happen in the beginning of this book. However, this is a pack hierarchy and that is fairly common in these types of books.
If that doesn’t bother you, then definitely read this book! This is a shifter book that also brings in the Fae and other mythical creatures! And Mera isn’t your ordinary shifter, because when she loses control, she is able to open portals to other worlds. Especially the shadow world.
This book is so action packed that I couldn’t put it down. I’m dying to read what comes next and to see how this will all come together.
There aren’t any full sex scenes, but there are scenes that are more than pg-13. Just in case you were interested

Loved this book and this world! Who doesn’t have a soft spot for a kickass heroine who spends most of her time reading and hanging out in a huge library!
I’d rate this a 1.5 star and likely wouldn’t recommend this series to anyone, I don’t even really like the main characters, I hate the pack… I don’t even think I like shifter series because of the forced compliance, and rape behaviors…
BUT I’m giving it 2 stars because I do want to know what happens, plot is mysterious and questions unanswered… plus I’m particularly bored during long a hospital and desperate for entertainment even if it’s cheap trashy books.

Mera was seriously my idea of a perfect FMC. She was strong, sarcastic, back talking, caring, amazing person. I was frequently laughing out loud at her witty responses. They just kept flowing despite the danger of someone killing her over them.
Torin and Jaxson are delusional to think they have any chance of deserving mera. They were horrible to her for no reason at all. I want them both to desperately grovel to her and for her to completely shut them down. Jax seems to be in grovel mode but Torin seems to be trying to manipulate her and I want him to actually want her so she can slam the door in his face.
Shadow is a very interesting character. He puts up with mera’s crap too much for me not to think he has some real feelings towards her. Just wanting her to do a job for him he wouldn’t have a to give her so much leeway. The chemistry between them was crazy hot and I don’t think it’s one sided.
The cliffie was interesting and has me excited for book 2. I hope we find out more about mera in the next book.

This one is difficult to rate. Because I didn't hate it. The writing wasn't bad, and I found the story interesting enough.
BUT.....
It was extremely slow paced. There is a lot of repetition. Library, getting dressed, snarky sarcastic snark, rinse and repeat. And there is constant conflict. There's no climax, unless that's what you'd call the cliffhanger ending, which to me was just weird. No resolution, just another unanswered question. At the end of the story we pretty much know exactly what we started with, absolutely nothing. And as a reader that's a deal breaker for me. Although I was starting to like the characters, I'm just not invested enough to continue.
And another thing....
From that cover I was expecting some steam. I got nothing, a few sort of but not really steamy scenes.

Oh my gosh. I’m still coming down from the book high this left me with. So this was my first PNR involving wolves. I’ve read Jaymin and LOVE her work so I knew this was going to be nothing short of fan-freaking-tastic and it so did not let me down. Mera and Shadow. Yikes. Talk about tension, angst, chemistry, and a dynamic duo. Jaymin set up a lot in this book. You get the ground foundation for Mera’s shifter world and what Shadow rules over. Lots of very intricate AMAZING details for their world. Totally incredible she thought of so much and it all fit together so perfectly.

This brings about a whole new outlook for Mera. Being brought to the Shadow Beasts Lair, Mera makes some new friends while she processes what has happened. Along the way, she possibly develops feelings for someone she shouldn’t, makes a new best friend, and learns all about the Solaris system. Just when she is happy where she’s at, she has an unexpected encounter with the one who rejected her.
PNR is not my go to genre. I typically don’t read too much of it, but Jaymin has such a gift for this genre (as well as SO MANY OTHERS) so I knew I’d give it a shot. And gosh I am so happy I did. I highly recommend this book. Whether you’re a PNR addict or dabble in the genre, this is one that is a new favorite series for me. I am so unbelievably excited for Reclaimed! There are not enough great words and praise I have for this book!

Rejected has to be one of my favourite shifter romances to date. It’s funny, quirky sexy af and the story was intriguing. The story I think may have been inspired by Beauty and the Beast as there are some similarities like the MC being kidnapped, the beast working in the worlds largest library of knowledge. But outside of that there isn’t much else to compare.
The story is unique by having the Shadows Beast, who Mera and the shifters believed was their God. One day she accidentally summons him and he decides to take her with him. Shadow is secretive and Mera makes it her life’s mission to find out what he wants with her.
