Why haven’t I been reading Jaymin Eve’s books sooner because the level of snark and sass had me CACKLING … but the story still packs a punch with the angst, tension and steamy goodness.
I’m not usually a fan of slow burns but Jaymin had me so hooked to this plot and the brewing tension between a snarky wolf and broody beast that I didn’t even mind.
I’m always a fan of anything @michellesparks narrates - her voice just brings happiness to my ears and stories to life. And what a pleasant discovery that is Noel Harrison! Definitely won’t be the last I listen to of his growly demands.
Now excuse me while I ignore all other responsibilities to binge listen to the rest of this series…

Been waiting a long time to read this book, practically since the day it was announced. But I promised myself I wouldn't start until I had all the books in hand, and so I started literally on March 31st, the day the 3rd book in the trilogy came out. I did enjoy it a great deal, though it did feel abrupt at times; like the heroine brushed off topics that shouldn't have been brushed off so easily. Like how the hero literally locked her up in her room for 3 or so days, and immediately after she's released, she goes right back to lusting after him. That was kind of frustrating. Also, the random time jumps were kind of annoying at times. Overall, I did enjoy it, enough to finish the series, but probably not for a future reread. We shall see.

Could not get enough of Mera, Angel, Shadow, Inky, Simone, and so many others.
This first book, there's not a lot of romance or sexy times, this definitely was more urban fantasy than paranormal romance, so be aware of that going in. I think, from reading some reviews, book 2 has more romance though. I'm looking forward to that.
And can Torin be punched...a lot. Ugh. I want both Mera and Shadow to get violent on him.
That ending though....so mean! Glad the second book is already out. I am so excited to continue on.

There is a lot of world building thrown at you and honestly, I couldn’t tell you much about the world outside of the shifters.
The story was interesting but it felt like the author was trying too hard to add in current terms/phrases like “I’m here for it.” Some of the language just didn’t feel like it fit with the book at times.
The ending did hook me though and I would continue with the future books; but they’re not at the top of my list.

The voice of the main character is AWESOME! this book is so much fun! FMC's a real badass.

I’ve been in a book funk after finishing a really good series, so nothing has been able to hold my attention or seem intriguing to me.
This book pulled me out of that. The world building and the characters and the description and the way the characters interact is just *chefs kiss* I can’t wait to start book 2

This book was amazing.
And I know I say this a lot with werewolf books but this book is every Wattpad werewolf girlie's dream.
It was perfect for what I wanted and Shadow beast... well I can't wait yo see more of the shadows he has to bring yet.
I will be continuing the series and can't wait to see the world Jaymin is bringing to life in this series and hopefully checking out the other books she has on offer.
If you love werewolves or shadow daddies. Antiheroes and strong female leads. Then check this book series out immediately will keep everyone posted as I read more of the series.

I really enjoyed the different take on shifters and their history. Love the fact that the MC doesn't immediately turn into some insane badass the minute she has her first shift. She's still realistic while growing into her powers and learning about herself . I also love the fact that this isn't some Insta-love story where she falls madly in love with her true mate on sight and how she maintains her independence! I don't even hate the cliff hanger ending lol seriously can't wait for book 2!
