This book arrived on my doorstep in the middle of a hurricane, (No joke) and has since left me with a hurricane of feelings. So goodnight gentlefriends, I’m off to sort through all of the emotional turmoil this book (and series) has caused me.

4.5*

Definitely more of a 4.5 for me but rounded up because the previous 2 books were just so amazing.
Most final books in series where there is some greater fate tend to have the same effect on me where I just don’t feel satisfied and that I knew what was coming.

***Spoilers***
The whole sun, moon, night prophecy thing was REALLY boring for me and honestly just annoying. I would have much preferred it to not be there even though I understand the point i found myself skimming the last few chapters because I was just really not invested in it at all. Overall though I really enjoyed the trilogy and the first 2 books will definitely be among my favorites and highly recommended. This one was a bit more of a drag for me. A similar feeling as when I read Kingdom of Ash from the Throne of Glass series.

I loved this entire series. Murder, shadows, gods, gladiators... say no more.
adventurous dark mysterious medium-paced

Can honestly say this is one of the best series’s I’ve read. I think it’s forever going to be a favourite of mine along with Throne of Glass

Took me longer than I wanted because, ya know, life. But oh my goodness best book I’ve read by Jay Kristoff so far (and if you know me, I’m obsessed, so I have read a lot).

Thank you, Jay, for such a great story.
