Thank you Kiersten Modglin for this e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

"Sometimes we keep secrets from the people we love to protect ourselves. Sometimes we do it to protect them."

Edith and Joe have been married for a few years. He's cheated in the past. He's asked for her forgiveness. Edith finds some photos of another woman on his phone. Is Joe cheating again? Should Edith trust her gut or what her husband is telling her?

This was one crazy psychological thriller! I felt like KMod peeked inside my mind and wrote a book based on all of my past relationships. I seriously don't know how she does it! Kiersten Modglin, you are seriously talented!!

This is a definite MUST READ psychological/domestic thriller with lots of secrets, twists, and intense gaslighting. I may have read this in one sitting!

3.5 ⭐️. This was not my favorite by Kiersten Modglin. Sure, she is an excellent thriller author (The Arrangement & The Ammendment are incredible). This one just wasn’t anything outstanding. That said, her books are quick, easy to listen/read books. I think some of her other books are better.

This was such a quick read! One of my fav author is Kiersten Modglin in psychological thriller, exceptional in writing books with twisty, unpredictable, suspense and engaging stories. However, the scenes in this book is not that heavy compare to her other books, they were quite realistic and probably be happening in real life.
Spoiler(Not sure with the killing part though)
I do like the characters in this book, the gaslighting and cheater "Joe", "Edith" a strong character that survived the cheating husband and gets her befitting revenge, and the best side character, the supportive and always on the go "Dan".

But, overall this is a 4/5 for me.

If you're into psychological thriller type of reader, you should add this to your TBR!

Another K-Mod dark and twisty delight…
I found this to be a fantastically fun story with easily relatable characters, that flowed like a white water rafting adventure.
…SLIGHT SPOILER BELOW….

From a personal perspective, her portrayal of a lying, gaslighting, narcissist partner was DEAD ON. I felt like I was reliving my second marriage. Well played, Ms Mogdlin, well played.

I am a fan of Kiersten Modglin’s books and was so excited to receive an ARC of Tell Me The Truth. This book was not one of my favorites of hers, but it was still a good fast paced read and kept me interested the whole time with a twist that I didn’t see coming.
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC.

Page turner, fast paced, thrilling.

The book starts with Edith coming full out saying she knows her husband, Joe, is lying, explaining how he’s lied before and the first sentence out of his mouth is typical gaslighting. You start to feel for Edith, but at the same time you just want to shake her because she seems so naïve, so trusting, and you want her to know her worth!! The writing is so compelling that you get lost in the story and think maybe you’re the one getting gaslit, and you’re cheering, HOPING that Joe finally just admits to anything, everything! How many lies can you spout before you’re caught up in your own web?

The book goes through her thought process, wanting the truth and how Edith is willing to go to any means to get that, even if it isn’t from him- & that’s exactly what she does. She changes careers, she digs through everything, and she will leave no stone unturned for the truth, no matter the cost.

Just when the first twist hits you, Kmod, per usual, tricks you to go one way while she takes the story another. This book makes you want to read just one more page, then it’s a chapter, and then all of a sudden you’ve finished the book and you’re left wondering, how in the world did Kmod do it AGAIN? Just when you think you’ve gotten it all figured out the queen of twists throws one more in and turns your world upside down. When i was nearing the end of the book i thought I had it figured out, but you truly never know the extend a human can go to, to finally be in the light of the truth. If you want to read a book that makes you think about who to actually trust, question your own life, get hairs on the back of your neck, throws in twists that you’ll never think of, and makes you have part time Olivia Benson worthy detective skills, this is the book for you.

It’s not the first time he lied to her. But it will be his last.
